INJURY AND PERFORMANCE
Biomechanics beyond the spine
Chiropractors are trained to diagnose and treat neuromusculoskeletal presentations, which means the muscles, joints, ligaments, tendons and nerves of the whole body, not only the spine. I especially enjoy working with specific injuries, combining hands-on care with progressive rehabilitation and clear guidance on what to do between visits.
-
Assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for ligament sprains, tendon problems and overuse syndromes or tendinopathies, in any joint from head to toe.
-
Assessment and care for nerve-related conditions of the upper and lower limbs, such as carpal and cubital tunnel syndromes, sciatica and meralgia paraesthetica, with referral for further investigation where needed.
-
Working alongside your surgeon, GP and physiotherapist to support your recovery plan after surgery.
-
Care shaped around the demands of your sport, built on student mentoring with an elite sports chiropractor, my time as a student representative for Sports Chiropractic Australia, and continuing sports and exercise education.
-
Practical ergonomic and lifestyle advice for the physical demands of your job. Having worked as a flight attendant, whale shark dive guide and in hospitality and healthcare, I understand the demands of work in the air, on the water, and on your feet.

Many spinal changes found on X-ray or MRI are common and can be managed conservatively. I work with patients dealing with facet arthropathy (osteoarthritis of the spinal joints), normal age-related degenerative changes, spinal stenosis, scoliosis, and postural alignment concerns. I also help people with joint sprains, as well as those living with osteoporosis or bone weakening, using gentle, appropriately selected techniques and working alongside your doctor where needed. I also support the later stages of fracture recovery once cleared by your doctor. Care focuses on improving range of motion and function, building strength and stability, and keeping you active.
